ZITO HAT CO
Austin was one of the very first people to walk into Second Place when we were just gearing up to open our doors. He dropped by to introduce himself, and as it turned out, he was getting ready to launch his own shop just down the street a few weeks later. We hit it off right away, realizing we had a lot in common—both in our approach to business and our creative passions. Since then, we’ve teamed up on some truly great projects.
When Austin was preparing to move into his new space, he wanted to refresh his brand to reflect the next chapter. We jumped in together and crafted an all-new logo, updated his packaging, created print collateral, designed custom hat liners, and even worked on store signage. It was a comprehensive project that really brought his brand’s evolution to life.
It’s been incredible to see how his shop has grown, and I’m grateful for the collaboration and friendship we’ve built over the years. Working with Austin has always been a blast, and I’m excited to see where our creative journeys take us next.
Logo Rebrand
Zito’s hats are all about craftsmanship, each one handmade with a level of quality that speaks for itself. So when it came to designing the logo, we knew it had to reflect that same attention to detail. We really wanted the logo to let that quality shine through, but finding the perfect typeface for “HAT COMPANY” turned out to be more of a challenge than we expected.
After going back and forth with different fonts that just didn’t feel right, Austin had a brilliant idea—why not write it out by hand? So, he grabbed a piece of paper, wrote it down himself, snapped a quick photo, and texted it to me. That handwritten touch was exactly what we needed. I took that picture and used it to create the final logo.
